Ancient Rakhine (Arakan) Capital's geographical unique position on the Bay of Bengal with both land and sea routes to the India resulted early in the development at political and culture traits which later emerged in other centres in Southeast Asia. There are stone inscriptions, coins; Buddha images and cultural handicrafts, which are earliest ones in Southeast Asia. In particular, city walls,moats, palace sites, etc, which all remain until now any one can traced to the development of ancient Rakhines (Arakan) cities.
